Mughtadaei Mortaza

Ayatollah Morteza Moghtadaei was born on Rajab 13, 1935 (1314), in district of Hakim Mosque in Isfahan. His father was Late Ayatollah Hajj Mirza Mahmud Moghtadaei who was one of the famous scientists of Isfahan and he had a permission of Ijtihad from Late Agha Seyyed Mohammad Najaf Abadi, and studied under Late Hajj Sheikh Abd Al-Karim Haeri - Founder ofQom Seminary- for a while, and had some sessions with Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Mohaghegh Damad, and Late Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Zanjani. Ayatollah Morteza Moghtadaei commenced primary education there and when he finished it in the presence of his father, he studied Sharh Nasab, Jame Al-Moghadamat, Soiuti, Mantegh Kobra, and a part of Nazm. He went to Isfahan Seminary in 1952 (1331) and studied the rest of primary lessons and the level period under the greats of there. He attended the Extra lesson for 2 years and then went to Qom and attended the Extra lesson of Imam and other greats, and also studied Wisdom science. He went to Martyr Beheshti classes which was for Qom Scholars to become familiar with new sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, and English in 1961 (1340). Ayatollah Moghtadaei attended the Ethic lessons and Self-purification and he always listened to the advices of his masters. He had studied some parts of primary under his father, then studied the rest of that and some parts of level lessons under Late Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Hassan Najaf Abadi, who was a student of Late Akhund Khorasani, Mr. Fayaz, and Martyr Shams Abadi. He studied Manzumeh under Hajj Mirza Rza Kalbasi, studied Nahj Al-Balaghe and Ethics under Late Hajj Mirza Ali Agha Shirazi, and Kholasat Al-Hesab and Tashrih Al-Aflak under Majd Al-Olama the son of Late Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Reza Najafi Masjed Shahi. He also studied Makaseb under Late Ayatollah Khademi, and attended his Extra lessons for two years. He attended Imam Khomeini’s Extra lessons and Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi together and also the Extra lessons of Late Mohaghegh Damad, Late Golpaiegani, and Late Araki. He studied Philosophy, the Asfar lesson under Allama Tabatabaei. He has taught the lessons which he learned since the primary years of education in Isfahan Seminary, and he has taught the books of level period and Higher Levels many times. He taught the Extra Jurisprudence in Madreseh Marvi Tehran then and he has taught in Qom Seminary until now and trained a lot of students and scholars. Ayatollah Moghtadaei acted in different political occasions in the years before the Revolution and also after that and he published the Imam Khomeini’s declarations and Resale Elmie (Science Pamphlet of Imam) in various conditions and His lectures were dedicated to honoring and celebrating of Imam. He was appointed as a judge in Revolutionary Courts a month after the Revolution by a judicialnotification which published by some members of the Teachers Association. Imam sent him to Khoramshahr, Abadan, Malaier, and Zanjan as a judge there in March of 1979 (Farvardin 1358). Also he has worked temporary in the courts of Qom and Tehran.
